I had a very unlevel site so I decided to build a foundation using treated 2x6 joists with 1/2 inch plywod, supported by concrete piers. This worked very well and was easier to get level than other methods. After that the installation was relatively easy. I did about 50% of the install with no help. It took two people to install the walls and doors, but everything else, including the roof was not too difficult done alone.
ตอบลบVery Happy with this shed, very nice and sturdy. Looks great after we finished....Mine was tan not white of which I am very glad of, white would have gotten dirty too easy.

Took two of us about 6 hours including base and that was with my neighbor doing most of the work, I was there to hold and hand pieces and parts. Goes together great, FOLLOW directions one page at a time.......Even shimming at the end, I was surprised when I shimed like they said and it worked even though I had it bolted down....
We have had this shed for a year now. We are VERY happy with it. It held up great this winter. It is excellent quality. It has held up perfectly even in high winds. We have not had any mice get in this shed, like our old Rubbermaid. (My husband did duct tape the bottom of the doors before this winter. This is a shed we do not use in the winter months, obviously!) We have had no leaks, bowing, or discoloration. We did have to re adjust the door this year after the foundation we put it on had settled.
ตอบลบIt took my husband and I about 5 hours to put together. A flat surface is SO important. I would recommend 2 or 3 people help build this shed, things go faster and smoother. My husband started out doing it by himself and quickly got frustrated. We also at first were not going to build a foundation but quickly realized it would go faster and things would line up better with one. We also figured it would keep the shed dry. (We have not had ANY water get in the shed.) It was alot of work to put together, I cannot believe how many screws it has. It is very solid once together.
This shed is SO much better than our old Rubbermaid. A few features that stand out-the ventilation in the front also has a screen to keep out bugs and bees. Although I wish it was bigger it is a nice feature. Also the long shelf across the back and the two corner shelves are useful. The window and the skylights let in plenty of light. We were careful putting the skylights together and they do not leak. (Something we were concerned about.)
If you are looking for a no maintenance shed, this is the shed for you. It really is a gorgeous shed. It looks so much better than our expensive old wood one that needs to be repainted again!
